Atmosphere announce UK tour dates

Atmosphere have announced their UK tour dates.

The duo will be teaming up with labelmate Brother Ali for their “3 The Hard Way” tour which will hit these shores in June. Atmosphere and Ali will be playing together in one giant mega-set in support of the upcoming album When Life Gives You Lemons, You Paint That Shit Gold, out on April 21st.

The dates are:

Doherty finally gets jail time

Pete Doherty has finally been jailed.

The Babyshambles frontman has been given a 14 week sentence after failing to turn up to his probation hearings. A spokesperson for the court said that he’d been jailed for “breach of time keeping, non-compliance of his order and using different drugs”.

His label, Parlophone said that a solo show will be postponed but it “is due to be rescheduled and all tickets will be valid for the new date once it has been announced. Peter was very much looking forward to the show and would like to offer his sincerest apologies to all his fans and all those concerned”.

Madball get new drummer

Madball have announced a change in their lineup.

Drummer Rigg Ross has left the band after six years and the band have moved to bring in former Cro-Mags and Bad Brains drummer Mackie Jayson drummer as his replacement. A statement from the band said:

“We’d like to wish him [Ross] all the best for the future, and he will have our love and respect forever. At the same time, we’d like to welcome Mackie Jayson to the band. We look forward to playing our first shows with him later this month.

Lyrics Born album news

Lyrics Born will release his new album at the end of the month.

The rapper’s new record, Everywhere At Once, will hit the stores on April 21st on Anti- Records and will include elements of pop, RnB and reggaeton. The album will be his debut for Anti- and is his first since the 2003 release Later That Day.

Dirty Canvas’ April line up announced

Dirty Canvas have announced the line up for the April event.

The grime, dubstep and hip hop night will take place at it’s usual Rhythm Factory home on April 18th. The line up will see the likes of Jammer, YoYo’s Seb Chew, Patchwork Pirates, DJ Magic, Skull Juice, Skepta, Blaise Bellville and more taking to the stage.

You can get in for £8 before midnight, £10 after.

Red will debut his album on April 10th.

The turntablist, who released his debut single Seen earlier this year, has already been used on a Sony PSP advert and promises more on his upcoming album Fingerprints.

The album launch will be on April 10th at The Luminaire in London. He’ll be playing with Full Fat and Lone and tickets will only set you back £5.
