The New York Dolls‘ today confirmed the U.K. release date of Monday May 4th for their highly anticipated fourth studio album ‘Cause I Sez So’.
The band has reunited with Todd Rundgren, producer of their influential 1973 debut.
The new album will be released by Atco Records and also features new version of “Trash” which was on their 1973 debut album.
Gallows kicked off the start of the SXSW festival in Texas in true punk rock style last night. Frank Carter joined Zach Blair from Rise Against, MXPX‘s Mike Herrera, Rob Marchant from Riverboat Gamblers, Gorilla Biscuits‘ Luke Abbey and Sam Ghanbar from Complete Control for an all star Minor Threat covers set which was absolutely explosive!
Crossfire’s very own James Sherry said ‘it was a rampage from start to finish in the same venue i wet myself in 2 years ago! The Filler jam was followed by Madball who took the place apart, what a start!’
Flogging Molly are celebrating St. Patrick’s day with their new video for Float, which is released on April 13th.
Fresh tracks from the new Ghost of a Thousand album scheduled for release on June 1st via Epitaph records has been on the stereo here at Crossfire for the last week or so on repeat. The album titled as New Hopes, New Demonstrations is rip roaring and we are tipping it for one of the best hardcore albums of the year. Look out for them on the road with Gallows this coming May and say goodbye to this old stuff below. The new material kills it.
Tiffany Page is starting to appear on the lips of various music industry heads this week as she recently signed to Mercury Records. Born in Africa and raised in North London, the singer songwriter has a voice we are sure you will be hearing more of over time. Check this video below as an example but the songs on her MySpace player are much stronger.

Bad news for hardcore fans this morning as the news surfaces of the death of Johnithin Christ, singer of legendary hardcore band Code of Honour. Unfortunately he had to fight a brain tumour and was finally defeated by pneumonia. Christ left a legacy in terms of underground punk rock with their releases through Subterannean Records, a label started by COH guitarist Michael Fox and will be sorely missed. Our thoughts are with family and friends.
New Found Glory‘s new video for forthcoming single ‘Listen To Your Friends‘ has been unveiled and it’s set in an Ultimate Fighting Championship type environment with a cameo from Big John McCarthy who is himself a former UFC Referee and MMA fighter Bas Rutten.
