Pixies fans will be stoked to know that there’s a box set coming out on June 15th. This lavish set titled Minotaurincludes the Come On Pilgrim EP, Surfer Rosa, Doolittle, Bossanova and Trompe le Monde accompanied by brand new artwork and photography courtesy of Vaughan Oliver and Simon Larbalestier who have worked with the band over many years. The set also comes with a book, DVD froma gig in 1991 and all of the band’s videos. Serious collectors can purchase a limited edition set that includes all that as well as the five releases on audiophile-quality vinyl, a bigger book, more artwork, a Giclee print, and more but you will need to sell the house to own one. Start saving.

Anglo-American writer/photographer Ted Polhemus has been writing and shooting about youth culture for almost 3 decades now, and with the help of the PYMCA has put together a photographic timeline of styles and cultures.

Ted will be introducing the launch of the Unordinary People photography exhibition at the Royal Albert Hall with a talk on the expression and importance of personal expression. Its £6.50 for a ticket, and they will treat you to a glass of wine and a tour of the exhibition.

If you cant make the event, but want to check the iconic photography it will be open, to the public on:

Friday 15th May 6pm – 9pm
Saturday 16th May 10am – 2pm
Sunday 17th May 11am – 3pm
Saturday 23 May 10am – 2pm

Big Dada have announced that Anti-Pop Consortium have signed to the label for the release of their new album.

Flourescent Black will hti the stores on September 9th and the group will showcase the material on the dates below. Speaking on the album, Will Ashton, Big Dada founder said:

“Antipop were one of the groups who were inspiring me when we started the label in the ’90s – to have them directly involved is a dream.”
