Every week new music floats through our office and some have that little bit more than others. This week we discovered NAO also known as North Atlantic Oscillation. Blend some Plaid and the Beta Band with a slither of Sebadoh and a dollop of Eric Matthews, liquidize in some shoegaze and the result is this. The album ‘Grappling Hooks’ is scheduled for 2010 but look out for an EP in October.

Introducing: Culture Prophet
Culture Prophet is an electro duo from South Carolina, jump in there for some party action.
To mark the UK release date of their debut album Horehound, The Dead Weather have created the uncensored short “Treat Me Like Your Mother.” The groundbreaking film was directed by Jonathan Glazer, whose credits range from such highly-acclaimed feature films as Sexy Beast and Birth to award-winning music videos for Radiohead.
Enter Shikari single details
Enter Shikari will release their new single on August 17th.
No Sleep Tonight is taken from their recently released album Common Dreads and will feature remixes from Mistabishi, The Qemists, Lightsgoblue and Shikari’s very own Rout. Check the video below:

George Noble has left UK band Your Demise.

Pendulum take out Somerset House
Pendulum ripped London’s Somerset House apart last night with a rocking set in the capital. The lucky, compact crowd witnessed a full set of bangers including an awesome rendition of Tarantula. Watch some phone footage here.
Is Rakim finally back?
After a ridiculous amount of time speculating, it seems as though Rakim‘s new album will be released.
Whilst there is no set date for The Seventh Seal, a track has gone up taken from the record, which you can hear here. Watch this space for any news on this feted released.
