Goverment to cut internet allowance

The Government has announced it wants to ban the internet for people who download music and films.

A report was published in June regarding punishment to persistent illegal downloaders but Lord Mandleson has reportedly pushed for stricter penalties. However, the internet service providers have said they are disappointed with the proposal to force them to suspend or ban users with others declaring it a breach of human rights.

Are you a talented artist?

Levis and Vice have teamed up for a new venture.

The aim is to discover the best new designers, painters, artists and more in the UK to have their work displayed on huge sites throughout the capital. The project has no guidelines for the artists other than they should be showing what they think it means to live “unbuttoned”.

Winners will see their work blown up and featured in Camden (The Lock Tavern), Shoreditch (Village Underground) and Soho (The Breakfast Club). The overall winner will work with Vice’s Ben Freeman to bring their artwork up to the size “of a large building”.

The competition closes on September 1st. Go here for more information.
