London awaits the work of the one and only Haroshi, the Japanese designer who crafts incredible works from old skateboard wood.

His first solo exhibition titled ‘Pain’ will reveal a new body of work which examines the effects of emotional pain, and how it can be a great motivating force in the creation of art. Haroshi, has been exploring this difficult concept in his new series of work by harnessing and repurposing painful experiences in the same way that he recycles disused objects as beautifully handcrafted sculptures. Using hundreds of disused decks in the process, each artwork is exquisitely imaginative, created with the highest level of ingenuity, impeccable craftsmanship and attention to detail, calling into question ‘what is pain?’and ‘why does it exist?’

‘Pain’ is sure to be one of the most unique exhibitions of sculptural work you have ever seen running at Stolen Space Gallery at 17 Osborn Street, London, E1 6TD between the 10th October to 3rd November. Don’t miss it.

SS20 skate shop in Oxford are celbrating 25 years in the game this Saturday September 14th by throwing a huge local jam to celebrate. If you head down to the new OWP Skatepark on Meadow Lane you will find Mon and a huge crew of Oxford skateboarders getting stuck into the concrete there with stone baked pizza’s, music, beers and much more going down.

Congrats to everyone who has worked in this skater owned shop serving skateboarders for a quarter of a century, it’s a massive milestone.

The coast of Kent is awaiting the annual Wheels and Fins gathering this weekend that will see hundreds of people having fun at Jos Bay Beach in Broadstairs. Expect skateboarding, live music, beers and beach sessions, skater run, skater owned and a must do event if you are based down there. It’s also free. What more do you want?

Remember the Xerox and Destroy gallery in Dalston back in March? Marc Vallée who was behind it is throwing a get together at the same gallery space on Thursday 29th August showcasing a bunch of photos that make up his new zine.

The 7th September is the date you should have in your diary for this year’s Battle of Hastings. A full day of shredding on the beach front with many of the South coast’s finest, ripping the coping off the place.

This Friday’s Go Skateboarding Day will be celebrated at the XC Skatepark in Hemel with the Death Skateboards team. Get in the park half price all day, join the team for a session between 4pm-10pm and expect hammers. Prizes will be awarded for the best tricks of the night.

Parlour skateshop and Lakai have announced plans for their annual Go Skateboarding Day shred. Sebo Walker, Danny Brady, Nick Jensen, Jesus Fernandez, Enrique Lorenzo and more riders tba soon will be hitting the streets of London on a designated route hitting 7 spots along the way.
