The Sunday Roast

Classic Matt Hensley shot by Daniel Harold Sturt

hensley1

Kicking this off with Harry Lintell who has recovered from injury and is cracking out footage all over the place. Make your Sunday afternoon count with this Piff Sticks edit.

Mark Suciu brings the country to this afternoon but would you have attempted this ender?

Silas Baxter Neal returned with yet another solid edit filmed mostly in Portland, Oregon alongside his buddy Cairo Foster and killed it. Love watching this guy shred.

Marky McCoy aka Marky Numbers had the most fun edit this week with a bunch of quirky shit filmed across Europe.

If homage is being paid to Chocolate Skateboards, we are backing it. Great new documentary online this week.

Our video from the vault this week comes from a 1993 411VM feature on London skate spots. Look ot for the likes of Geoff Rowley, Curtis McCann, Mike Manzoori, Matt McMullen (RIP) and many more.

No better way to round this up than with Matt Hensley who celebrates a birthday today. The word legend is overused but in this case it’s legit.

Matix Constrictor Denim

DENIM_CONSTRICTOR_BLACKRING_1The good guys at Matix have rolled out a lifetime guarantee for their new denim collection which can only be a total result for anyone skating in them. Who needs Levi’s jeans that cost £150 when you have a skater owned brand offering this sort of warranty?

Read the words below and look into their collection in your local skate shop for more info. The jeans you see here are the Constrictor, which is a slim fit, narrow leg number for those who like a tapered jean with a button fly. These come built with 70% Cotton/26% Poly 4% Rayon so you can actually move in them too.

If they are good enough for Daewon then they are definitely good enough for you.

Archived Josh Evin footage from 2003/04

josh_evin_skate

Josh Evin was a Canadian skateboarder who unfortunately died as a result of a motorcycle accident back in 2010 and ran a skate shop, Black Russian. Today, various clips of Josh have been released by Morgan Campbell who had a bunch of tapes from the summer of 2003 and 2004 for fans, family and also those who didn’t know him.

“I have been meaning to edit this raw footage together for ages” says Campbell, “but to tell you the truth I could only just come at it now. And yes, many tears were shed in the process. This is all from a couple of short Canadian trips we did together, when I wasn’t skating I would point my camera at the others, but admittedly it was usually Josh up to some crazy light speed aeronautics.”

Also watch this tribute to Josh. RIP.
