Sweeney in 3D

Right now for reasons I’m not particularly sure of we have hundreds of 3D glasses scattered around the office and we have been waiting for literally a couple of days to have a use for them. Thankfully, Aaron Sweeney went to Saffron Walden with the Volcom crew to do some test shooting in 3D.

If you have some of the new school glasses then you might not be rubbing your eyes as much as I am as I type this straight after watching it. But this clip is sick, immersive skate media for the future! It’s Friday so you’re okay to look stupid for a couple of  minutes, put on those cardboard throwbacks and check out the radness below…

Vans Wooden Waves Open

Vans have announced that this year’s comp at Wooden Waves will be on August 5th.

The Newquay park will be the host of a street comp and mini-ramp jam from 12-7PM and then it’s off to Belushi’s for the after party. Should be a riot so get down there, get hesh and get some sweet vitamin D in the south-western sun.

Exile releases free remix album!

AM/FM, the latest audio dropping from LA’s MPC-wielding hip-hopper Exile is due to be released next week. The album looks at the dark and light side of radio and is sure to be a wild journey through transitor beats and murky west-coast mixing.

So if fans of last year’s progressive Radio LP aren’t hyped enough for this then Exile has dropped a completely free bonus LP of remixes entitled Radio Bonus. You can find them HERE.

Orange Cup in Marseille

Concrete bowl riders from across the globe went to Marseille last month for the Orange Freestyle Cup.

And from the looks of the footage it seems like it fully went off! Dog pissing, tailsliding, air getting. The gnar was carved and you can see all the action below. Guillaume Mocquin took the gold and you can see more shredding from him in his part from Element’s Get Busy Living
