Mexico Goes Mad For Mega Ramp

Adrenaline can be a hard habit to kick and doesn’t Danny Way know it! Danny recently took his mega ramp and a handful of top Vert riders off to Mexico City for a Mega Ramp contest.

Not shy of pushing the limits, Danny got busy with a ridiculous backflip , whilst Bob Burnquist settled for the frontflip. The ten-story high drop in chasm leap had to be shut down due to thunder and lightning, but footage of all the madesss that went down South of the Border will soon be posted on Danny’s official site: www.dannyway.com Ay caramba!

Yesterday’s Heroes

Everybody talks about the good ol’ days, them good ol’ days… Well www.flowerpothead.com has a sweet video clip up on their site that really does highlight those ‘Goo ol’ days’.

The New York based site has a clip posted of OG rippers Gino Ianucci, Keith Hufnagel and legend Keenan Milton (R.I.P.) to name a few before the ups and downs od skate-atardom plucked them off the urban vine.

This video is definitely worth checking out as a reminder of our roots, and also what we sometimes take for granted. Never forget.

Little Rulers

Little Ruler shows us that it is never to early to start riding the stuntwood.

The toddler attire was the brainchild (Ha! What a pun!) of skate legend Jeff Kendall and his wife Maureen who, after the birth of their two sons, were disappointed to see no-one supplying an adequate wardrobe for a family with deep roots in skateboarding.

Starting small a few years ago, Little Ruler has grown up and gained respect, much like the kids it kits out.

People who aren’t averse to a little game of smelly sardines in a tour van are the guys at Foundation Skateboards who plan to drop by Bay 66 Skatepark in London on the 17th May. Woo hoo!

The bretheren that have been given the Queens permission to shred her backyard are Angel Ramirez, Corey Duffel, Mike Ruszyck, Ethan Fowler and a handful of Euro special guests.

Ecko Wins Graf Battle

Further to the news piece up recently, Marc Ecko’s backing of seven kids who had been taken to court for possessing spray cans, has paid off.

This week a judge over-ruled the law of New York and now the city can no longer enforce its policy of making it illegal to carry spray cans and broad tipped markers.

Marc Ecko took on New York City and won, keeping the graffiti tradition and lifestyle very much alive and kicking. Much respect is going his way from Crossfire HQ.

Bloc Party Pen Track On London Bombings

Bloc Party have written a new track which is based on last year’s bombings in London. The new song, Hunting For Witches, is one of many songs penned for demoing in the lead up to a new album.

Lead singer Kele Okereke said that the bus which was blown up, happened very close to where he lives and he wrote the song based on the observations he made about the reaction of the press.

Other track titles which could feature on the new album are Cruel, Merge On The Freeway, Kreuzberg and Machines.
