Antiz Z-Movie imminent!

If we keep plugging the blue collar establishment that is Antiz Skateboards, it’s because they are one of the most underrated group of riders out there.

Expect to be blown away by their second video, Z-Movie, free and available through Crossfire at the end of January.

5th District footy fest

Switzerland might be small, expensive and neutral to World affairs, but the skate scene there is strong as an ox.

The boys over at 5th District want you all to know what’s up in the Alps with plenty of sick footage in their super fast video section, including Stefan Bircher‘s lost tapes and Severin Von Ow (ph. Andi Speck) and Jah Hofer at Winterthur amongst other things.

Ted deGros turns pro, yo!

Possibly the most cringe worthy sub-title we’ve ever run in the skate news (Sorry Ted), but it’s pretty simple and long overdue in my honest opinion. Canadian Ted joins the professional ranks of the newly re-furbished Santa Cruz Skate team.

On a side note, here is the brand new trailer for V-Day: a celebration of Santa Cruz re-united Veteran’s league – Tom Knox, Eric Dressen (oof! What a wallride!!) and Jason Jessee. Get schooled soon.

Bastien off Etnies?

Burnt out on the industry and resting on some herbal laurels, euro-powerhouse Bastien Salabanzi (ph. Rob Brink) has left yet another major sponsor- Etnies Shoes.

It would seem like the young Congolese Frenchman seems more inspired by his guitar, but you can bet that he’ll be back at some point with only extra feathers in his cap.

Yellowcard album update

Yellowcard have been posting updates on their myspace blog as they record their new album. The album, the follow up to last year’s Lights And Sounds, the album which the band talked about on the blog:

“We were so proud of how artistic we were, And I think we showed too much. I think maybe we were a little too jaded and a little too dark, and I think that the lack of hope and faith that we put on this record made us a little less sparkly and light to people”
