A Cage show was thrown into chaos in Michigan recently.

The Def Jux rapper was due to perform at the Blind Pig venue in Ann Arbor when it was announced over the PA that Cage wasn’t coming on and the show was over.

As Security began moving people out of the venue, a chant of “Fuck the Bling Pig” started up and security apparently got violent, forcing people to leave.

On his MySpace page, Cage said that he didn’t get into the venue because he’d left his wallet in the hotel with his ID but that he’d never had a problem like this before. He went on to say:

“I would like to applaud the meat head security team and management that ruined everything and could later be seen flinging teenagers into walls when they began shouting fuck the blind pig and refund. I have never seen anything like this in my life.

I want to apologize to everyone that paid to get in and or were attacked by the blind pig security. Young college kids are great to beat on eh pigs? A Fucking Shame it was packed.”

Australian rockers Wolf and Cub are out on tour in the UK soon.

After just having supporting Wolfmother on some dates to great acclaim, Wolf and Cub are hitting the road again in support of their forthcoming single This Mess which is out on March 5th. The album, Vessels, will follow on April 2nd. The dates are:

White Stripes have signed a deal with Warner Bros.

The Detroit band, who were signed to V2 and were one of the many bands let go recently, signed a one album deal. Their last release came in February 2005 when they released Get Behind Me Satan.

The deal with Warner Bros will not extended to the Third Man label, which is Jack White’s imprint that has put out the Raconteurs.

Kaiser Chiefs will be playing a competition winners only show in London.

The band, who have a new single called Ruby all over TV, will play the Gibson Guitar Studio in London on February 17th as part of a competition. The event is in association with Gibson Guitars and will be recorded for Virgin Radio.

It is likely that material from their upcoming album, Yours Truly, Angry Mob, will be showcased. The album is out on February 27th.

Yo La Tengo will be co-headlining All Tomorrow’s Parties.

The May event – ATP vs You (The Fans) – will be curated by promoters and the ticket buyers, who have voted who they want to perform. Yo La Tengo were the popular band and will be playing at the event which takes place from the 18th to the 20th.

Another band to get the vote was Brightblack Morning Light.

The Who are to play Swansea as part of their summer European tour.

The band, who are also set for an appearance at Glastonbury, will be the first band to ever play the Liberty Stadium in Swansea.

Speaking about the gig, Roger Daltrey said that the set in Wales would last two hours and would feature songs from across their entire career.
