Iggy Pop talks privates.

Iggy Pop has recently spoken about the track Trollin’ on his album which features the line “my dick is turning into a tree”.

He said to Rolling Stone magazine:

“You write about things of importance to you. And it’s gotta be for real. Do I think about my dick? All the time. I got a right to sing about it. If I thought, ‘It’s time to write a rock song, I’d better mention my dick,’ then I wouldn’t even be able to say ‘dick’ right. But it’s nature-oriented”.

Got it? Good.

Police Bank R.I.P

Yes, horrid though it is to say, another one of England’s finest and well-known skate spots has met its denouement.

Probably the most acknowledged natural quarter in England, a great place to meet for a session and all around a haven for skateboarding. It was the last remaining spot in Liverpool that’s not a bust. Not a nice day for skateboarding, but the memories live on and that!

Here she lies, in a bright yellow waste receptacle.

For footage of how pumped this spot got sessions going, go here.

Munsons ‘Slab of Meat’

You want to know what pain really is?

Duffs and Creature beast Mark Munson earned this beauty from a back smith grind-to-lipslide-to-coping-to-flat bottom for the cause on a recent Spanish Basque Country trip with Styley, Carl Wilson, Ben Raemers and French. Mark is reported to have contunued skating and even hucked out an invert after this went down!

Styley supposedly took some killer photo’s of the trip so you never know, you may even see them in a forthcoming feature in a mag soon.

Dinosaur Jr

J Mascis and the gang can do no wrong in my opinion. I love them. So do you. If you don’t then you’ve probably got something wrong with you. They make me think of summertime and having fun. The original line-up of Mascis, Lou Barlow, and Murph have reunited to record together again for the first time since 1988’s “Bug”.

The new single “Been There All The Time“, taken from the new album “Beyond”, is going to get you throwing yourself about, air-guitaring all over the place and yelling along to J’s distinctive voice. Pure, classic Dinosaur Jr. again, showing how they got themselves to the fore-front of the indie scene in the Eighties, and still have the energy, passion and talent to carry it on in 2007.

Oh come on. It’s Dinosaur Jr! What more do I have to say? This is amazing!
