Rollins to front Ruts?

Reports are coming in that Henry Rollins, of Black Flag fame, will front a reformed version of the Ruts.

The band, who have recently seen their track Staring At The Rudeboys covered by Gallows and Lethal B, will feature the original line up of Paul Fox, Segs and Dave Ruffy. Rollins will apparently take over as single in place of Malcolm Owen, who died of a heroin overdose in 1980.

The gig will be at a benefit show in Islington on July 16th for Paul Fox and cancer research as he is reported to be terminally ill with lung cancer.

Peter Hewitt StrangeNotes

StrangeNotesNow there’s nothing more frustrating than not being able to skate because it’s raining.

Especially so this week as half the country is underwater and people are swapping their skateboards for life jackets and rubber dinghies.

And to makes things even worse, there’s some ridiculously good Peter Hewitt footage up on StrangeNotes.com. Jesus, I want to skate right now.

US pigs are wankers

I heard on the vine of grapes that whilst people were skating the blocks in London on Go Skateboarding Day courtesy of TSEOU, Blueprint and Nike that a policeman actually mentioned to skaters that they should be careful smoking reefers in front of the general public and didn’t make a fuss of it at all? Think yourself lucky we are not in the USA where police are actually total wankers…

Happy Go Skateboarding Day!
