Funeral For A Friend have revealed details of an extensive UK tour.

The band, who will release their new album Memory And Humanity on October 13th will hit the following dates:

Gym Class Heroes singer arrested

Travis McCoy has been arrested for assault.

The Gym Class Heroes singer was the victim of racial abuse on the St. Louis leg of the Warped Tour and subsequently broke his microphone over the man’s head. He has since been released on a $500 bond.

The band will release their third album in September which will feature production from Cool & Dre and a guest spot by Busta Rhymes.

DC Live From Europe – Skate with the pros!

This month, International and European riders from DC Shoes will be splitting into two to conquer both the North and South of Europe, and they want you to get shredding with them.

The North Team, boasting the likes of Colin McKay, Ryan Smith, Jaime Fontecilla, Henning Braaten amongst other known rippers will be heading to London/Oxford on the 15th July alongside UK DC riders Sean Smith, Leo Smith, Dave Snaddon and Dylan Hughes for a 3 day take over. Here’s where you should be:

Wednesday 16th July: 3.30pm North Team Skate session at Cutteslow Park, Oxford
5.00pm “Afternoon Tea” at SS20 Skateshop, www.SS20.com – everyone invited
6.00pm BBQ at Meadow Lane ramps – everyone welcome to come along
7.30pm Charity gig at the Carling Academy to raise money for Oxford skate parks .

Thursday 17th July: North Team skating at several spots around London shooting some team footage, which you will be able to check out at www.dcskateboarding.tv.

Friday 18th July: 3.30pm North Team meeting at Half Pipe Skate shop, London to decide where to go skating, www.half-pipe.co.uk. If you want to go skate with the Pros you know where to go!

With both North and South Teams meeting up for a session of epic proportions in Paris, not to mention a huge party at the end of it all, there is no excuse to miss this! Be a part of it!

A-Trak speaks about Nike mix

A-Trak has released a Nike + mix.

The series, which has been done by Aesop Rock in the past, is a 45 minute track “dedicated to joggers”. The turntablist/DJ/producer said of the mix:

“I don’t really run, but I got excited by the musical challenge…I had to weave sounds together so the runner didn’t get interrupted or distracted.”

De La Rocha’s new project revealed

Zack De La Rocha has teamed up with Jon Theodore for a new project.

The Rage Against The Machine frontman and the former Mars Volta drummer are collectively known as One Day As A Lion. The record has been described as “a stripped down attempt to realise this sentiment in sound” referring to the photograph of the same name which bears the legend: “It’s better to live one day as a lion, than a thousand years as a lamb.”

The EP will be released on July 22nd on Anti- Records.

Morello announces solo album details

Rage Against The Machine’s Tom Morello has revealed details of his forthcoming solo album.

The guitarist will release The Fabled City in September, as the follow up to 2007’s One Man Revolution. The album will have 11 tracks and will feature Serj Tankian from System Of A Down. Production will come from Brendan O’Brien who worked on Morello’s first solo album as well as Rage Against The Machine.
