UK Independent Trucks Tour!
Whoa, this is going to tbe the tour of the 2008 by the looks of it. Check out the Independent team riders lined up below for their UK visit between 15th-18th September. With the likes of Chris Haslam, Navarrette, Hewitt, Allen, Olson, Graham, Grosso (yes!) and UK team riders this is going to be straight up gnar. We will inform you of where they will be skating as soon as it is confirmed.

Eastern Electrics announce details
Eastern Electrics have confirmed Switch and Skull Juice will be added to the bill.

SSS release new material
SSS will release the limited edition first press of The Dividing Line.
The pressing will hit the shops on September 29th and will come with a free Sk8+Destroy 7″ picture disc featuring bonus non-album tracks. It will also feature a guest appearance from big-headed hero Frank Sidebottom. Check out the MySpace for more.

Jay Reatard hits the UK in November
Jay Reatard has confirmed a string of UK shows for the autumn.
The compilation of his Matador 7″ singles issued this year – “Matador Singles ’08” – will hit stores on 6th October with an album proper expected early next year. The dates in November are:

Blackhole and In Case Of Fire news
In Case Of Fire will release their debut single in October.
This Time We Stand be followed early next year with a debut album. Blackhole will be following up their split 7″ with The Scare in June with a new mini album, which is being recorded now. They will also be touring with Johnny Truant and Cancer Bats in October.

iForward, Russia! split
iForward, Russia! are taking a “lengthy break” from making music.
The band, who recently cancelled a number of gigs set for October, stated:
“We have decided to take a break from doing ¡Forward, Russia! – for a lot of different reasons. The idea of doing another tour with nothing new to offer was something that enthused none of us, and the idea of re-booting on a productive strand is something we’re not quite ready to face just yet. Added to which, the last few months of inactivity has led us all on paths away from the band. I know that sounds odd, having released an album only a few months ago, but I don’t think any of us were connected to the mechanics of its release.
Apart from that, we have been trying to get together as many live bootlegs, session tracks and ‘rarities’ as we can, with the thought of putting as many as possible on our website for people to enjoy. This depends on £ and webspace, but we’ll work on it and let you know how we do – hopefully we can do something by the time of the gig in October.”

DMC World DJ Championships info
The details for this year’s DMC World DJ Championships have been announced.
The finals will take place on the 26th and 27th of September at the IndigO2 in London.The Championships have been running 23 years and launched the careers of the likes of Scratch Perverts, Q-Bert, C2C, DJ Craze, Mixmaster Mike and more. The battle for world supremacy and world team championships will be held on the 26th with the world DJ final taking place on the 27th.
A Third Foot have started work on a mammoth coffin shaped deck order for legendary rock band Metallica. The decks commissioned by Crossfire for Mercury Records will be limited to 200 worldwide.
The only way you will pick up one of these rare planks will be revealed next week here as we have found them homes as comps on various UK skate websites. Watch this space and look out for new album ‘Death Magnetic’ coming in September.
Reports from various heads have said it’s ‘Metallica going straight back to the old school‘. The proof will be in the pudding.
