Muse make fans wait for album

Muse have told fans they shouldn’t expect a new album soon.

The band had previously announced they would travelling to Italy to reocrd the songs, of which there were many, but the latest news is that the songs are still “very young”. Bassist Chris Wolstenholme told 6Music that:

“I don’t think there’s anything that we’re ready to record yet. We just wanted to get started this year, to get the ball rolling a little bit rather than wait for a year doing nothing then get in the studio, and go, ‘What do we do now?’. Sometimes you can suffer from having too much time off.”

Metric discuss new album

Metric have announced they will be staying indie for the next album.

The Canadians have agreed to continue to put their music on Last Gang Records and their manager Mathieu Drouin said:

“We’ve wrestled with our situation over the course of the last three albums, trying to find the right deal. We found ourselves in a position where the majors were interested, but we knew we had the ability to roll the dice and do it ourselves. ‘Long tail’ artists like Metric that have been able to develop a following and career without major help are in the best position to take things into their own hands right now .”
