Habitat rider Silas Baxter-Neal has taken Thrasher’s Skater Of The Year award for 2008. After a bunch of cool video parts including an outstanding part in the Inhabitants video, the Eugene, Oregon skater has the biggest honour in World Skateboarding this year.

Danny Way broke a vertebrae in his back and will be out of action for months after a fall at the Brazilian Mega Ramp comp this weekend in Sao Paulo. Pendulum launch two fan competitions
Pendulum are closing the year with a UK tour two competitions on their official site, The Other Side, which will allow lucky fans to get up close and personal with their favourite band.
The first competition is a Photo Pass competition which will see fans enter a Q&A style competition, with the winner getting a pair of tickets and one photo pass for a gig of their choice on the tour. The second competition is a Photo Submission competition with fans being given the chance to upload their own Pendulum related photos on The Other Side.
A shortlist will then be drawn up and voted on with the winning photo being made into a limited edition print to be sold exclusively on the store at www.pendulum.com.
