Frank Zappa documentary in the works

A DVD documenting the recording of Frank Zappa‘s classic albums Over-Nite Sensation and Apostrophe is set for release next month.

The documentary will take a behind the scenes look at each album’s recording sessions, giving a rare insight into the mysterious musician who died in 1993.

Rare footage from the archives were also included, including his performance on Saturday Night Live in 1976. The DVD, which also features interviews with his wife, children and colleagues such as Alice Cooper, will be released on May 1st.
