Ben Pappas R.I.P.

If I believed in karma, I’d say Australian skateboarding did something very bad in its past to suffer this month’s tragic events. Down Under has lost another skateboarder, this time the younger of the Pappas brothers, Ben.

It would seem, Ben Pappas was found dead in the river Yarra with Police suspecting suicide. However, the waters are murky as to his motives seeing as his partner was found dead only a week earlier…

Without any further speculation, our thoughts go out to all those who knew and loved Ben.

Rest in Peace.

World without hoes?

Whilst the skate world hates and debates about the blank board dilemma, Hubba asked the REAL question everyone wants to know:

World’s largest truck..?

I’ve got to hand it to Bradley Rosado for this find.

Apparently, Scott Archer from Baltimore made this massive axle with his bare hands. Some say it looks like an Indy from a distance..?

Thrasher in Oz

Globe and Thrasher Magazine invited skateboarding to take it’s balls out of it’s fanny pack and put shit down last weekend on Australia.

On the cards were a Tizzey at Pizzey Park concrete bowl, some mini madness and a the Varsity double set (6 flat 7!) challenge.

No need to deny the fact that dudes got hurt, but you soon forget the pain when you see Chris Haslam man-handle the mini ramp, Matt Mumford and Omar Hassan tie for first place at Pizzey, and Adam Dyet knock out a switch backside heelflip at the Varsity Double-set.

Oooof!!!

Click here for the Mini ramp footage.

Click here for the Double Set footage.
