Blueprint Produce

Blueprint has served up some tasty new decks and wheels to get your greasy mitts on this month.

The Afterhours range, which features pro models from the usual bunch, and the Artwork II series are both available right now.

Any fellow monster footed fellers out there will join me in welcoming the release of the Gilded Grande decks, weighing in at a respectable 8″ and 8.25″ each. Decks with girth and two new sets of wheels, the Pro Fellowship and Team Infinity mean that Santa has come early this year.

Other Blueprint happenings include Mikey Wright helping the Nike SB team claim the throne at the recent “We Are The Champions” competition at the Works in Leeds, whilst Baines and Shier are out reppin’ t’Print in Malaga on a DVS trip.

Good timing on escaping this god awful weather lads, ya lucky gits!

Blueprint are the latest skateboard company to be involved in the forthcoming Meanwhile 2 Gap Jam, visit www.blueprintskateboards.com for more.

Del Mar revisited

The beautiful thing about the internet thesedays is the fact that even old guys can use it too. Harrison James sent in this clip of Christian Hosoi and Tony Hawk battling it out at the legendary Del Mar skate park back in 1985 when big hair and riser pads were almost the same size. Amazing to see that 22 years later that these 2 are still riding urethane…but the question is – will you?

New York Street Skate Movie

Buddy Nichols and Rick Charnoski are back with a brand new documentary covering the history of street skating in New York City.

The duo, who have directed amazing movies such as Northwest and Fruit of the Vine are ready to unleash a definitive history of the City covering an incisive and artful exploration of skateboarding and its culture.

Jocko Weyland who wrote the book “The Answer is Never” says “On one level it’s about street skating, but also an anthropological overview of skating’s epochal shift from the parks and pools of the 70’s, to ramp skating in the 80’s, to the street ascendancy of the 1990’s as seen from a New York-centric perspective.”

This film will have interviews with many skaters, street architects and more so expect this to be one of the most talked about films of 2007 released soon. Watch the trailer here.

King of the Ramp 2007

Crossfire is proud to announce it’s participation in this year’s King of the Ramp competition due to be held on April 14th in Austria. The event is literally no-holds barred Deathmatch with no qualifications and no finals. Just pure annihilation!

The event has an invite list including heavy hitters such as Juergen Horwarth (lat year’s winner), Oli Buergin, Daniel Cardone, Ivan Rivado and awhole load more. On top of that there will also be all the locals in attendance, so you know things are going to get very messy indeed.

To prepare yourselves, watch last year’s event here (80mb!)
