Vacationer

‘Gone’

Following their epic debut track ‘Trip’ that was released this Spring and a colourful free mixtape, the Eastern Seaboard travelers of Vacationer are back with a new track to chill you out whilst on the move.

Gone‘ on first listen compared to ‘Trip’ takes genius into a new realm. I mean, in terms of progression, this is a step into paradise sonicly. I dare you to hear this once and then not go back for more as yet again, Vacationer have delivered another slice of aural addiction that the world will be soon supping on daily to forget the stress and strains of the daily grind.

Word on the street says that Vacationer’s debut album is complete with a record deal in place to deliver Nu Hula greatness into millions of people’s ears in 2012. Look out for release announcements very soon and download this track for free here.

Donate your old jeans to Volcom and help the homeless

Volcom are doing the right thing this Christmas and helping the homeless. Their “Give Jeans A Chance” pledge is all about collecting old denim and passing on the donated items to the Whitechapel Homeless Mission for redistribution. How can you help? Donate your old jeans that are just sitting in your cupboard, you know, the ones that you are too fat to get into, or the jeans that have gone out of fashion, we all have them just sitting there.

Just drop any old pair of wearable denim jeans or jackets into the London or Falmouth Volcom Store’s from today until December 10th and you’ll be given a free Volcom cap, DVD or CD in return. If you are donating to the London store, you will also be entered into a raffle to win a pair of tickets to see Gallows in December at XOYO on December 10th which is sold out.

Visit www.volcom.com/givejeansachance for more details.

Volcom Cuff Beanie

This week, Autumn finally kicked in and it looks likely that from here onwards Winter is going to become a reality. This morning more than any other day this year, I felt the cold on the way to our office but thankfully Volcom had sent a bunch of their Fall collection to help battle the elements.

The Volcom Cuff Beanie is straight up, seafaring standard headwear. Available in black, navy, olive (pictured) and bright orange, Volcom’s latest beanies are simple, warm and efficient when dealing with the freezing cold fog that we are destined to experience soon. The Cuff is branded on both sides, so if you don’t fancy the long, worded logo on one side of it, then you will be more than happy to rock the small Stone on the flipside. If you like your branding then you will love this for the choice.

This double fold, knit rib beanie comes in one size, so if your head is like Chunk from the Goonies or even if you are rocking a giant potato like Sloth’s from the same movie, you know it will fit fine. For around £20, one of these is well worth thinking about owning this winter. Available right now in your local skate shop.
